4 Weeks Old

I cannot believe that Graham is already 4 weeks old! He has grown and changed so much. The best thing we have to report this week is that Graham has slept through the night for 3 nights in a row!!! He eats around 9:30pm and then again around 6:30am. I do not know if he will continue to this, but it has been wonderful for the past few nights. Graham has also started taking a bottle. It has been wonderful for Dustin to be able to help feed Graham. He is holding his head up some and kicking his strong legs. He is such a big boy!

Graham is still having a hard time with his reflux during the day. We are giving him his Prevacid twice a day, but he cries after he eats. We are scheduled to go back to the doctor on Friday for his checkup, so we will see what she thinks. We will update at the end of the week with his current weight and length.

3 Weeks Old

Our sweet Graham was 3 weeks old on Monday. He is still growing fast and is precious as ever. He has become much more alert this week. He will look from Dustin to me when we are talking to him.

We had to go back to the pediatrician today because Graham had a rough day yesterday. He cried most of the day and spit up after each feeding. The doctor thinks he has acid reflux and started him on Prevacid. He had his first dose this afternoon so we will report back to let everyone know if it is helping. Apparently the spitting up is not effecting his weight, he weighed 9 lbs 3 oz today! That is 2 pounds more than when we left the hospital 2 weeks ago.

Growing, Growing, Growing!!!

Graham went to his 2 week doctor's visit yesterday and he is growing like crazy! He now weighs 7 lbs 15 oz (up from birth weight of 7 lbs 8 oz) and is 21 inches long (up from 20 in). The doctor continues to be impressed by how good he is. He will not have to go back for another 2 weeks. But, he will have to get his second Hepatitis B shot then. I do not want to think about having to watch him get a shot. I have given many shots in my career, and lots to kids, but it is a different story when it is your baby!
Graham continued his field trip out after his appointment. We had to drop the car off at the shop for some work, then went to Bank of America for Dustin's co-workers to meet Graham. We ended the day out to lunch. He slept in his carseat for all the visits!
Graham is continuing to eat every 2-3 hours during the day and every 3-5 hours at night. As you can tell from his weight gain, he does not sleep through a meal very often.

1 Week Old

Our sweet baby Graham was 1 week old yesterday. He is busy wrapping us around his little finger! He had his first doctor's appointment yesterday. His doctor confirmed he is still perfect. Graham is almost back to his birth weight, joints are moving well, circumcision is healing, and his color is good. We go back next Monday to check his weight again.

Dustin and I are still doing well. For the most part, Graham is wanting to eat every 2-3 hours. But that is still to be expected at this point. He actually went 5 hours between feedings last night! I know this will most likely not continue to happen, but I will take one good night of rest!

We continue to be appreciative for all the calls and food from everyone. Thank you!!!

Sweet Baby Graham

The Greens are home from the hospital and adjusting to life with a newborn. The past 4 days have been a wonderful time. We could not have asked for a better labor and delivery (thanks Dr LeBel). My mom and Dustin were the only family in the actual delivery, but lots of friends and family were there to offer their support.
Graham was born on Monday and we came home from the hospital on Wednesday. We introduced Graham to Maggie and they became instant friends. Maggie has been really good with Graham, but does not like it when he cries. When I got out of the shower last night, I came downstairs to Dustin asleep on the couch and Maggie was laying at the foot of Graham's cradle. She had pulled her blanket over to it and was on watch. We gave Graham his first bath on Wednesday night. He cried like crazy, of course, but we all survived! Graham is feeding well and often. He has his first doctor's visit on Monday so we will see how his weight is doing.

Dustin and I are a good team. Of course I have had to take on most of the feedings, since Graham is breast feeding. But Dustin is still doing the housework, helping with diaper changes, and staying up with Graham between feedings.

Thank you to everyone who has called, visited, brought/sent presents to us. We are so blessed and truly appreciate everything.
